High Points Award

This perpetual trophy was donated by Roy Sjoberg, The father of Viper. He feels that

Viper Days is an event that allows Viper owners to drive their Vipers the way they were

designed to be driven…on the track!! This beautiful high Points award will be an

ongoing reminder of what Roy had created for all owners.

 

The winner of this year’s Viper Days High Points Award is. He accumulated 1846 points by       attending 10 events.  Michael Greenberg.

The Rookie of the Year award is presented to the rookie who has the most consistent performance on the track event after event.  The trophy was provided by Bob Woodhouse

of Woodhouse Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler etc., a well respected supporter of Viper Days and

all Viper owners. Woodhouse and his staff are always available for any owner to answer

their questions or new car purchase.

 

The winner of the Rookie of the Year award goes to the driver who attended his first event

at the end of 2005 and 2006 is his first full season in the Challenge Series.  He has driven

well and has consistently improved his driving skills.

The 2006  Rookie of the Year: Scott Gerami

Presented by last year's winner Bryan Harris.

The Viper Days Safety Award is given to the driver who best displays a consistent

safety level not only on the track but in the pits. These drivers know their boundaries while

driving within their limits at all times. He or she may be quiet in the pits and but is constantly

trying to improve. All drivers should emulate at all times both on and off the track what this

man strives to do. 

 

This years Viper Days safety award is:    He may not always have a smile on and that is

because he is trying to figure out how to go faster! This is no better evidenced by the use

of a crew chief at the track to bounce things off and make changes. Keep up the safe and successful driving.

This year's winner is Ron Hickey.

 

 

The Most Improved Eastern Region Driver Award is given to the driver who

shows the most improvement throughout the year in the eastern region. This driver has

shown marked improvements in the areas of driving strategy, evaluating track layouts and is always willing to learn, try new ideas and add safety items to his car.

 

This year’s most improved eastern region driver goes to a driver who has really improved

in 2006.

 

This years Most Improved Eastern Region Driver goes to  Joe Krick.

 

Presented by last year's Eastern Region winner Greg Spears.

 

The Most Improved Western Region Driver Award is given to the driver who

shows the most improvement throughout the year in the Western region. This driver has

shown marked improvements in the areas of driving strategy, evaluating track layouts and

is always willing to learn and try new ideas. He is always willing to instruct and help anyone

he can.

 

This year’s most improved western region driver goes to travels great distances to attend

events not only western but eastern events. Congratulations ! Mark Alger

 

The Brian Angen Memorial Trophy goes to the person who most exemplifies a

true love of the sport, just like Brian!  People are always glad to see this person at the track

and he always has a smile on his face, these are the qualities necessary to win this award.

This driver lives for the track and will go to great lengths to make sure the car is on the

 track every session. The support from this driver comes in many forms. Willing to give rides, instruct, help with set-up and tear-down. He loves the track and his car. 

 

The Brian Angen Memorial Trophy goes to David McNichol.

 

Michelle Frey Memorial

We are honored to add another trophy to the perpetual array that we have. This award in

given in memory to a great lady and one who loved her Viper and had a passion like none

seen in a women north of our border.  Michelle Frey was a special person. This award is

given to the women who best represents her friendship, volunteer effort, driving skill,

competitive spirit and leadership!

 

The inaugural year winner of the Michelle Frey Memorial is Nancy Stein.
